ANNOUNCES ADMISSION INTO
EXECUTIVE
AND ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT, DIPLOMA IN COMPUTER AND
SECRETARIAL STUDIES AND DIPLOMA AND ADVANCED PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA FOR
PERSONAL ASSISTANTS
The Human Resources Development
Centre invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for
admission into the following programmes.
- Executive Diploma in Business Management
- Advanced Diploma in Business Management
- Diploma in Computer and Secretarial Studies
- Diploma for Personal Assistants
- Advanced Professional Diploma for Personal Assistants
1. Executive Diploma in Business Management
(Small Business Management Concentration)
This
is a Small Business Management course for candidates aiming to be self
employed, proprietors of small businesses and owners Managers who need
in depth appreciation of fundamental principles of managing small
businesses.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Five passes at credit level in SSCE/GCE/O/L or equivalent examinations;
B.Sc/OND/NCE. Mature students with lower qualifications who are over 30 years of age may be considered.
FEES: N30,000.00per
participant to cover tuition fee only. The cost of N5,000.00 for
course materials and project supervision will also be borne by the
candidates upon resumption.
2. ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
(Small Business Management Concentration)
This
is an executive development programme to produce many top managers in
the industry and public sector. It is designed for professionalism in
Small Business Management functions in Organizations.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Graduates
of Executive Diploma Programmes, University First Degree, NCE or HND in
any discipline. Top level employees of organizations who require
advanced knowledge of Small Business Management, but possess lower
qualifications may be considered.
FEES: N35,000.00per
participant to cover tuition fee only. The cost of N5,000.00 for
course materials and project supervision will also be borne by the
candidates upon resumption.
3. DIPLOMA IN COMPUTER & SECRETARIAL STUDIES
(Ordinary/Intermediate/Advanced/Executive)
These
are grouped subject scheme in Computer & Secretarial Studies for
candidates aiming to be Secretaries to middle management, senior
management, chief executive officers or other comparable officers.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
(a) DCSS (Ordinary)
Basic
qualification of five GCE O/Level or its equivalent including English
Language or recognized professional qualifications. Mature candidates
with suitable qualifications or practical experience will be considered
for admission.
(b) DCSS (Intermediate)
As
in (a) above plus Shorthand: 80 wpm and Typewriting: 35 wpm,
respectively, or Diploma in Secretarial Studies (Ordinary) from any
recognized institution.
Senior/Chief Typist can also be considered for admission.
(c ) Advanced DCSS
As
in (a) above plus Shorthand: 100 wpm and Typewriting: 50 wpm,
respectively, or Diploma in Secretarial Studies (Intermediate) from any
recognized institution.
(d) Executive DCSS
Graduates/HND/NCE
holders with basic qualification of five GCE O/L or its equivalent
including English Language or recognized professional qualifications
would be considered for admission.
FEES: N35,000.00per
participant to cover tuition fee only. The cost of N5,000.00 for
course materials and project supervision will also be borne by the
candidates upon resumption.

4. EXECUTIVE DIPLOMA FOR PERSONAL ASSISTANTS
This
is a grouped subject scheme in secretarial and administrative studies
for candidates aiming to be Personal Assistants or Personal Secretaries
to senior management or other comparable people. The scheme of study
provides a background of knowledge and skills to encourage the
development of self-confidence and initiative, which, in due course,
will enable the candidate to play a responsible role in an
administrative environment.
ENTRY REQUIREMENT
Graduates
and non-graduates with basic qualification of five credits GCE O/L or
its equivalents including English Language and a pass in one numeric
subject e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting or recognized
professional qualifications. Mature candidates with suitable
qualification or practical experience will be considered for admission.
FEES: N40,000.00per participant to cover tuition fee only. The cost of N5,000.00 for course materials and project supervision.
5. ADVANCED PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA FOR PERSONAL ASSISTANTS
This
is an executive development programme to produce many Top Personal
Assistants in the industry and public sector. It is designed for
professionalism in the field of Personal Assistants.
PROGRAMME OBJECTIVE
To
develop participants for top level Personal Assistant positions in both
public and private organizations. Candidates also would be exempted
from all parts of the Institute of Personal Assistants of Nigeria
Examinations.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Graduates
of Executive Diploma Programmes, University First Degree, NCE, or HND
in any discipline. Mature candidates with suitable qualification or
practical experience will be considered for admission.
FEES: N45,000.00per participant; N5,000.00 for course materials and project supervision.
6. GENERAL INFORMATION
DURATION: Two (2) Semesters (Saturdays only)
VENUE: Department of Estate Management
COMMENCEMENT OF PROGRAMME: 14th December, 2013
METHOD OF APPLICATION
GUIDELINES FOR COMPLETING THE APPLICATION FORM:
1. Visit the Human Resources Development Centre Portal (hrdc.unilag.edu.ng)
Click on the “Application Form”.
2.
Click the pre application form link; provide the required information
and submit to obtain a Payment Reference Number (Voucher). Candidates
are expected to print out the Payment Reference Number (voucher) and
take to the bank for payment of five thousand Naira (N5,000.00) which is
the cost of Application Form.
3. Make payment at any branch of the designated banks stated below:
· WEMA BANK PLC , ECO BANK PLC, ACCESS BANK PLC, FIRST BANK PLC at the University of Lagos Branches only.
4. After
payment, return to Human Resources Development Centre Portal
(hrdc.unilag.edu.ng) Click the Application link, then Application Form
Link, login with Payment Reference Number as username and provide surname in lowercase as password.
5.
Click the Edit Application form link to fill the Application form and
upload digital passport (jpeg format) which should not be more than 15kb
in size and must be in white background. The acceptable dimension is:
width- 235 pixels or 35mm, height- 314 pixels or 40mm (failure to comply
with specified image format may lead to disqualification).
6. Click “SUBMIT FORM” button after filling the form completely; else click “DECLINE” button.
7. After submission, applicants are required to print the completed Application Form for submission at the Human Resources Development Centre Secretariat, in Room 104.
Submit the printed form along with two (2) sets of your Credentials.
Note
·
Kindly note that if payment is not made five (5) days after obtaining
Payment Reference Number (voucher), the pre-application would be
DECLINED. Applicants will then be expected to refill the pre-application
form to obtain a new Payment Reference Number (voucher).
SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS AND COLLECTION OF ADMISSION LETTERS
The completed application forms should be submitted to Human Resources Development Centre Secretariat not later than 6th December, 2013 and admission letters for shortlisted candidates are to be collected from the same office (Room 104) as from 9th December, 2013
Please
note that letters of admission will not be posted to individual
candidates. The admission lists will be available on HRDC Portal
(hrdc.unilag.edu.ng)
